L.A. Stoner Rockers HARLOT CHURCH Release Debut E.P ‘V’ >>> Future Noise Recordings

‘V’ – Released September 8th

L.A’s Harlot Church are more than a little aloof since their inception in 2013. Apparently formed in Stoke-on-Trent, U.K, sometime in 2013, Harlot Church agreed to release music through Future Noise Recordings back in 2014. A long promise is finally fulfilled, says the band, but an E.P of 2 songs is certainly no album.

Soon after forming support slots for high profile names such as, High on Fire, Hang the Bastard & Crowbar were etched in stone as were a few headlining shows of their own, but where H.C have been is anybody’s guess. They now emerge on U.K based label Future Noise Recordings with the band relocated to Los Angeles, California. Harlot Church lists only fellow Stoke bands Rise To Thunder and Bleak Zero as influences. Normally a 3 piece, this release features just 2/3rd’s of the band.

‘V’ is raw and gritty. No edits, no going back and glossing over the mistakes, and no self mercy, if you fucked it, tough. It’s been given the bare minimum of glitter and not a string of tinsel for the production, which gives it a production all unto itself.

This new darker maturity has a total disregard for the boring formulas, or lifeless productions, instead channeling an experimental swagger of old telepathic energy locked into an audible groove, while most arrogantly sitting on the edge of a complete mess, constantly putting their hands in the fire.

‘Heavy drug use contributed to the making of this music.’ – It absolutely did! – ed
